| What is LINK 7000? |
|
| LINK7000 is an option accessible from
the CYBELEC PC90 software. It makes possible direct on-line communication between, on the
one hand, a personal computer running PC90, and, on the other hand, one or several DNC
7000s, DNC 30s or DNC 70s. In fact, the LINK7000 option allows transfer in both directions
using a serial line conforming to RS232/422 standard. Products and tools originating on
any DNC may be transferred to and from the PC. |

Thanks to LINK7000, the
user has at his disposal, via his PC, a powerful programming tool for the DNC 7000, the
DNC 30, and the DNC 70. It is also possible to create and simulate products in 3
dimensions on the PC, and then to transfer the result to DNC 7000/30/70/. |

In addition, LINK7000
makes it possible for a user equipped with DNC 90 and DNC 9000 (whether interconnected
within a network or not) to use the same software (PC90) to program other machines
controlled by DNC 7000, DNC 30 and DNC 70. |

|
The LINK7000 option is
available only for CYBELEC’S PC90 software, and from version SPXEAF4 onwards. |
|
|
|
In order to communicate
with a DNC 7000/30/70 numerical control, LINK7000 utilises a special transmission file
corresponding to the version of software running on the DNC currently connected to the PC. |
|
|
|
To let you link up
several DNCs (7000s, 70s and 30s, up to a maximum of 10) the LINK7000 option includes
various transmission files adapted to several software versions (for more details see
chapter 4 of the LINK7000 programming guide). |

You will find a complete
list of DNC software versions currently compatible with LINK7000 contained on the loose
leaf inserted in this document. If this is missing, or you cannot find you own software
version listed, then please contact CYBELEC’s COMMUNICATION Dept. |

This option comes
complete with the new programmable software protection key (the "green key"),
programmed to enable option 03 (LINK7000). |
|
|
|
If you already have the
PC90 software and want to avoid fitting two protection keys in series, please indicate
this when you place your order and tell us what your present key’s colour and serial
number are. |
|
|
|
We will then replace
your existing key with a single green key, authorising your use of both LINK7000 and PC90. |
|
|
|
If you need LINK7000 and
your current PC90 software version is prior to SPXEAF4, then you should also order an
update to SPXEAF4. |
|
|
|
On the other hand, if
you don’t already have CYBELEC’s PC90, then you should order this concurrently
with your order for LINK7000. In any event,
please always indicate the software version running on your destination DNC.
